A-CET Student Sammy Ayalew collects our award from the President ICAEW & Chairman of Judges
Our 2005 Accounts were awarded joint winner in the Charities Aid Foundation/Institute of Chartered Accountants (England & Wales) competition for Best Charity On-line Accounts in the Category of under £100,000 income a year. On winning this award, the judges “felt that A-CET had not only demonstrated a really good use of visuals, including pie-charts and graphs, to present financial information on-line but had also gone the extra mile in terms of adhering to SORP guidance for larger charities. Despite the size of the organisation, there was a clear understanding of its obligations to the Charity Commission and the consensus around the table was that the information available on line was very much fit for purpose. ... that the charity had gone beyond what was expected of them in terms of what they were required to report and had really demonstrated best practice for a charity of this size”.
