Stones had been collected and dressed and a bare shell partially erected, but funds were non-existent and the harvest had not been good. The school had started but with no furniture no doors or windows. As soon as we received funding, our local **EYES** staff, liaising with the Ministry of Education and the local Adihana Committee got the project underway. Within two months, two classrooms were completed with good floors, doors and windows and 60 double desk sets delivered - everything was locally made. Work is now progressing on the next two classrooms with plans for another classroom to accomodate up to Grade 4 staff room and store in the planning stage. This is where your money goes, direct to community selected small self-sustaining projects, no middle men, no bureaucratic delays, no corruption, no "lost" percentages. \\  The day the desks were delivered we were amazed to see the entire village out to greet us.
